World's biggest iceberg: B-15

Iceberg B-15, which originated from the Ross Ice Shelf of Antarctica

Holds the distinction of being the largest iceberg ever recorded in terms of area.

SIZE: approximately 295 by 37 kilometers (159 by 20 nautical miles).

By October 2005, it had disintegrated into multiple smaller icebergs.

This particular fragment, known as B-15ab

Which measures around 20 kilometers by 7 kilometers (11 nautical miles by 4 nautical miles).
